Baseball cap shadow mesh
I am attempting to reverse engineer the Baseball cap template. I found the shadow mesh and created my own shadow mesh. However, when I assign the shadow material to my mesh, the gradient doesn't align in the same way. Curious if anyone can help me figure out how I would make the gradient point from Y instead of X how it is now.
My mesh is unwrapped, anybody has any ideas?

Hey!
From what I can tell in the picture you have to use an Alpha/Opacity Mask to achieve the gradient effect.
If you have created your black and white opacity texture, make sure the blend mode of the material is set to multiply.
That should get it to work, if you need any further help feel free to message me and I will respond as soon as I can!

Hey @... Thank you for taking the time to comment. It's really strange because it's using the same material and it's set to multiply. I'm starting to think it's the way the UV's are created but can't think of how. I'm pretty new at Snap Lens, so i'm hoping it's something i'm not seeing in the file.
If you have time, I created a zip of the project here;

Mostly curious as to how they did it.
In the project itself, everything looks fine. As you already said, the way the UVs are created is different in their mesh. Here you can see what I mean.
I don't know for sure how they did it myself, but I would try to take a look at both of the meshes inside of a 3d software of your choice and try to find the differences there.
@... Oh my word! Looking at the image without the textures made me realize how they did it and I figured it out! It's exactly how they set up the UV's!! It's a pretty sweet technique!
Thank for helping me think this through dude! I owe you a beer or a coffee!
Amazing, I'm glad you figured out the problem.
I took a look and your website and I really like your work!
Keep it up and happy creating inside of Lens Studio!
