  • I have the same issue, I want to set up a "Magic Mirror" style screen but the lens don't detect faces unless people turn their heads 90 degrees.  I'm using a Logitech C920 Webcam to capture the video.

If you want to see examples try setting up a camera in portrait and add a lens you will see it struggle to find the face.

  • Hey Zeta,

Any concerns using a phone/monitor connection as compared to using Snap Camera, which to your point is horizontally focused?  For the former, we mirror the phone to a monitor connected to a laptop using a USB-C to hdmi dongle. This can work on any screen, but if the monitor can rotate vertically, even better.  Be sure if you rotate to adjust the screen set-up on the laptop for vertical viewing and pre-load the Lenses to each device.

Another option is to reach out to LA Photo Party - https://laphotoparty.com, a company that is using Snap Camera for photobooths at events. Either way, do let us know how your event goes! We'd love to see the sort of effects you create!

    Cheers,
    Kaitlyn

  • Hi kaitlyn. i´m not using a phone.
this is a logitech 4k camera connected to a laptop.

i need to put the camera in vertical mode. thats 1080 x 1920 but snap camera doesn´t recognize anything at all. lenses only works if i put the camera in horizontal mode (1920 x 1080)

Also snap camera have problems detecting the full 4k resolution of brio logitech. only works at 1920...
reaching to a third party is not an option, i´m not in usa.
