2D Animation: Importing PNG Sequence for best quality
I'm looking to create a 2d Animation, using a PNG Sequence I rendered in After Effects. When I import the file into Lens Studio, the quality of the lens drops off quite a bit. I tried increasing the file count when importing, but I could only go so far until the RAM Usage was above its limit. Is there anything I can do to ensure the best quality of my lense, and keeping the file small enough to publish? It is a 5 second animation, wondering if maybe its too long. Hoping someone can help me out.
Hey Chris,
Travis helped Carly through a similar situation before. Perhaps that post can help you out? Let me know if you need any more help.
Cheers,
Kaitlyn
Hi Kaitlyn,
Thank you for your help. I have figured out how to compress the file, my issue is that the PNG Sequence I am importing is not showing up high res enough. It is saying the file exceeds the max size to push to device, and even then the quality is not good enough. Could it have to do with my render? It's 5 seconds, is that too long an animation for Lens?
Thanks,
Chris
Hi Chris,
How many frames do you have in your PNG sequence? One thing I would suggest is to reduce the number of frames. In that way with the same file size you can get a higher resolution. You can also try exporting your 2D animation as a video and import that video instead. Let me know if you need more help!
Best,
Risa
