Alpha/Occluder Error in PBR Material
Hey people,
I noticed a strange problem. I made a new PBR Mat for faking glossy Lips. I am running in two problems:
1) I cannot use blend modes like Hard light or overlay or screen - if I do the whole Texturesheet will show as a black mask over the face. Any technical explanations for that? I used already everything from opacity mask to ColorMasking RGB and A channel on top of the dialogue...to no avail.
2) so I apply the glossyLips Mat as "normal" but I notice an occluding effect on particles that lay in hirarchy above the lips and thus should actually be rendered "after" the facemask. I checked the renderorder. Only if I drag the particles above the lips (in my project window) they render properly on top of the face.
See my screenshot for details:
Hey el Be,
To fix your problem create an opacity mask to only cover the lips and hide the other. In that way you can fix the black part problem.
Best,
Amir.
Hey Amir,
unfortunatly that didn´t solve my problem...
Could it be that some materials don´t take certain blend modes?
best eL
Hey eL,
Can you please share your project file so I can find the problem.
Thanks,
A.
Sure.

I just opened your project files and blending seems fine to me.
Here is the screenshot:
Make sure to update to the latest release of the Lens Studio.
Best.

Hey Amir -
preview in lens studio worked fine for me, but sending it to my phone it turned out to be as I described above,,,
can you confirm that?
I am working on the latest release,
L.
Hey el Be.
Thanks for reporting the problem. We're working on it right now to fix the problem. In mean time you can use one of the blend modes in the material to apply the effects.
Best,
Amir
Hey Amir,
thank you. Unfortunatly the blendmode I need is not available in the material :-)
