Facial tracking accuracy

 Hey all,

is there a way (even per script) to improve the facial recognition/tracking?

It seems the more layers of facemasks I stack, the less accurate becomes my lense as for sticking solidly to my face. on the left and right borders, my mask seems to lose track of my face, which completely destroys the illusion... 

Not sure but it could be related to the latest release? I just downloaded it.

BTW I am using an iphone 5s - so an ooold one.

any hints?

 

Just noticed that not being shaved is a problem for tracking accuracy...could that be?

    Hi El, to diagnose the problem, can you check how fast your Lens is running on your iPhone. To do this, pair your device and press the little gear icon in the top right corner. There, you'll see the Lens' framerate. More info on how to do this here under the "Check Lens Performance" section:

    If it's low (under 30), this likely is the biggest culprit for slow tracking. I'd suggest trying to limit the number of face masks to one or two and instead layer in the texture itself.

  • Prepare to upload your files: zip the "Log" Folder by right-clicking and choosing "compress."
    Locate the Log.txt file right above it.
