How can I import an animated deformed ball using dynamics in Cinema 4D?
Hi! Question:
I’m trying to make a blob falling to the ground working in Lens Studio. I’m using dynamics in Cinema 4D, but can’t seem to get it to work in Lens Studio. Is it simply not possible to use prebaked deforming meshes? When imported it only displays as a sphere that bounces down and rolls over, no deformations at all.
This is what it looks like when the ball has landed on the floor.

Hey Simon,
Unfortunately you cannot use Cinema 4D's deformer animation and export it to Lens Studio at this time.
You can create a simple rig for your character and then export it to Lens Studio using the FBX file format.
If you want to learn more about animation and exporting it to FBX, please follow the Cinema4D export guide.
Best,
Kaitlyn
Alright, thanks for the reply. Looking forward to this functionality! :)
It seems interesting that a character rig can deform meshes but you can’t do it “manually”. Will be fun eventually I guess :)
