Hey Alexis, hope I can answer all your questions.
Can we access external APIs? No
Can we play video? Not directly. But you can export your video as individual frames (aka an image sequence). Then, you can import the individual frames into Lens Studio as a 2D animation. Follow this guide: https://lensstudio.snapchat.com/guides/2d/2d-animation/
Is there Object Recognition or hand Recognition? No
Can we utilize comments or do a live feed? No
Ca we use the gyroscope? Yes! There's a component called Gyroscope. You can add it to the camera to bind the scene's camera directly to the device's rotation. This is how the Look Around template works. Alternatively, you can add the component to an object and its rotation will reflect your device's gyroscope. Check out this guide for more information: https://lensstudio.snapchat.com/guides/general/tracking-modes/
Can we connect to an external app? No
Can you animate a 3D texture? Yes! Follow the 2D animation guide (https://lensstudio.snapchat.com/guides/2d/2d-animation/) to create the animated texture. Then, you can use this animated texture anywhere where you'd use a normal 2D texture. For example, the base texture of a material.
Hope that helps!
