Best texture for Hair Simulation

Hi there,

I've been experimenting quite a lot with the hair simulation last weeks and I just feel there's a big render quality gap between what I manage to do (and also what is offered as an example in the template) and what is offered by snapchat as a lens using this technology ( for example this one https://www.snapchat.com/unlock/?type=SNAPCODE&uuid=138764810e5b48e4be283a4fc4a6f6d1&metadata=01 ) Is there an obvious good practice I'm missing or a good hidden trick? :)
