Still, we hear you loud and clear, and are logging the issue in case there's ever a workaround we can provide!

Keep an eye out for a followup email from us. We may have a couple more questions for you, or we might already have a solution to offer.
Have you tried cropping the videos to 720x1280? That's the only resolution that seems to work for me for custom preview videos.
Like modelsbymike3d said, make sure your videos are in 720 x 1280p. Also, make sure if your preview videos are shot/rendered in 30 FPS, 60FPS Clips seem to cause a lot of problems.
I have recently created a preview pack consisting of 10 videos and 18 pictures. If you want to try it out, click here: ru.ian's Summer Lens Preview Pack!
If you have any further questions, feel free to reply to my comment and I will respond as soon as possible!
Hey modelsbymike3d thanks for the suggestion buddy. I did try 720X1280 but even that wasn't as smooth as I wanted it so finally what worked for me was 384X720 @ 30FPS (don't ask me how I ended up here lol). and ru.ian awesome previews bro I'll make sure to use them although I'm looking for more portraits of people to test skin tones etc you know. But yeah my issue was resolved :)
I am having this same trouble. Your GIF is without a doubt beneficial and explains the way it ought to work here, but, while i circulate the slider it automagically defaults lower back to zero, i.E. It may not stay at some thing other than 0
