Happy creating!
I don't speak for Snap, but here is my opinion.
Aesthetic and beauty lens creators can become OLCs, but typically they have to be really exceptional creators for that to happen.
Those sorts of lenses are super popular on Snapchat, but as far as augmented reality goes they are just the tip of the iceberg. The OLC program is designed to help AR creators push the space forward, not just as a reward. Snap themselves state that part of the acceptance into the program is to "learn more about your goals and how the Lens Creative Network can help you."
The main question I would ask is how do you stand out as a creator? Are you making the same sorts of aesthetic and beauty lenses that everyone else is making, or do yours stand out?
The problem is that we're not told exactly what we need to do to become OLC. I've seen a few creators getting the OLC tag with only 2D beauty lenses but then again, everyone else says that you need to make some AR/VR or 3D lenses to stand out and become OLC.
modelsbymike3d yes obviously I want to be a part of OLC network and I’m working for it I create many Ar lenses but still got not any response from Snap user they only like to use aesthetics and beauty lenses I got billions of views on my lenses and I love creating aesthetics…also I’m creating 3D,ml and AR lenses check out my profile saqib_m55 Thanks 🙏
yajanrjoshi yes I know few user have only 14,15 beauty lenses and they got OLC🙆🏻♂️ And other side 3D and AR lens creator isn’t even getting OLC they are working it for long
