Overlay 3D Mesh on Face Mask?
When I apply a Face Mask, it overlays on top of any 3D Mesh I put in front of it. It does not seem to matter how I order them in the Objects or Camera hierarchy. When I adjust the Blend parameter I can see both but they are blended. I'm trying to put a Mesh (glasses, unicorn horn, etc) over a Face Mask. I'm sure I'm missing something but I've spent a lot of time looking and failed to figure it out. Any ideas?
Hello if you already have an object ( 3d ) you can use head binding and insert your object to it ..
i
If you’re trying to make an overlay 3D you can use the assist to choose the mesh you want ( half face, mouth etc ) or the full face which already inserted when you install the face mask. Also go to recourse panel and click on the face mech you will see the preview and an images that you can added you can change them of anything that you want
Hope this can help you out
If your still need help contact me hassanmofeed <
I can show you exactly how
Thanks
Thank you for the response. I am still having this issue.
1. I create Head Binding with a Scene Object. Inside the Scene Object I have a "Render Mesh Visual" of a Cube. The Cube is positioned on the forehead and looks fine.
2. I add a standard "Face Mask" object. I can put it in the same head-biding or a separate one, but either way it hides the Cube mentioned above. If I adjust the Blending on the face mask I can see both, but I want the Cube to be in front of the Face Mask, not blended/occluded, and I cannot figure out how to do that.
You can put it in the same head binding but you have to move the object you want to the front of the second one
Click on the object you wanna move in the 3d screen “ above you will see the icons to change , move and re size the object .. move it to the spot you want. That will be pinned as the object under head binding but you need to move it perfectly so can fit the screen and didn’t effect your scene object
Good luck
I appreciate the feedback, unfortunately it does not make a difference. I can position the 3d Mesh in front of the face, almost touching the camera, but whenever it and the face mask share the same location on the screen the Face Mask is the only thing that can be seen.
Sorry to hear that ..
could you please add me on Snapchat and show me your work so I can help better .. ?

The link above shows what I am experiencing. The shape is far out in front of the face mask, but mask is always dominant.
Okay I had a look it’s great work ..
I didn’t understand what you mean by saying far out ..
This one lens that I made

Check it out and let me know do you wanna make it like this ?
Thanks for sharing, yours looks great.
I am trying to make something like that but with a 3D Mesh in front of it.
Sortof like this:

But I want the face underneath to be a Face Mask, not my actual face.
Btw the lens I shared was 3D and 2D mixed .. I think I understood what u mean but I’m not home now .. Once I get back home I will show you how by recording it and send it to you or send you the steps correctly better
Reordering in the objects panel should work (I think), but you could try putting the facemask on a separate layer and making sure the camera is capturing both layers.
Or, check the material for the face mask. If you aren't using the default face mask material, try disabling the "Depth Test" option on the material.
FYI, your advice worked when I started from a new workspace. I never got the one I used originally to work but at this point it's easier to start from scratch.
Thanks!
