Argh! Just want to group objects to move them

  • Hey Michael Holloway

Did you already try to add an "Screen Object" to the objects panel and then parenting your 3D head, the eyes and the teeth to it?

  • Ah thanks. Creating the Screen Object and dragging the objects to it wasn't in the instructions.  But now the manipulation arrows for moving, scaling, etc. are off in another part of the screen. I think I can work with it.

    Thanks!

  • I think I'm having the same problem as Michael Holloway, but I have not found the solution.

For reference, I'm using the Cutout Template for Lens Studio.

I have a total of five objects which I have "layered" in front of/behind each other. However, when I click "Send to Snapchat" to manipulate the objects in the app, it will often tweak the scale/drag/rotation of the individual objects.

(Sometimes everything moves together, but it depends on where I'm tapping on the screen.)

I would like everything to scale uniformly as one, and I want it to be able to occur every time.

I have tried the solution recommended above:

Did you already try to add an "Screen Object" to the objects panel and then parenting...

But I can't find anything called a "Screen Object". Do you mean a "Scene Object"?  And how does parenting work?

If you can provide a step-by-step, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
