It's not illegal to download the Snapchat Application on Android (apk) or iOS (ipa). But a modified version of the Application isn't allowed and results in some consequences. Depending on where you get the Snapchat Application's apk from, Depends on whether the Snapchat Application has been modified. On Android, Google has security measures in place to make sure that a User and their Device can use their Device with Privacy and Security in mind, on Android there are some settings via both the Settings App and the Google Play Store, that you can enable / disable to then install the Snapchat Application, but please take note, that you're doing this at you're own risk. I think its not an illegal step to download itsapk but there are some guidelines you just need to learn these guidelines before downloading it.
