can't install snap cam

  • Hi,

I am getting the same problem.  I tried installing Snap Cam on Windows 10 64 bit Home.  Each time I try to open the App, a cannot execute message is appearing stating the following DLL files are missing:

    MSVCP140.dll
    MSVCP140_2.dll
    VCRUNTIME140.dll
    CONCRT140.dll

I have tried re-installing.  Also un-installing and re-installing, cannot get it to work.

Any help would be appreciated please.

    Trevor

  • the link to install is here, and it is safe because it is to Microsoft

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=48145

however I have the DLL already but a newer version so it will not install unless I uninstall the newer version and install this old version.

the files you need to uninstall are both of these, and make sure when you download from Microsoft you install both

    vc_redist.x86.exe

     and

    vc_redist.x64.exe

    uninstall these first.
