Ralph Lauren recently partnered with Snapchat to make a filter experience that unlocks by just pointing the camera at a Ralph Lauren logo.

I'm making a filter for a client and they are looking for the same 'unlocking' experience. Does anyone know how can I make a filter unlock when pointing the camera at a clients logo? (Rather than having to share the filter through a Snapcode or link for people to be able to use it).

    Hi! I work at RL and just started assisting the AR team. It's my understanding that the ML logo detection opening from the main camera is a special feature that only select companies working with Snap directly can utilize right now :/ .

     

    That being said with Snap ML you may still be able to train recognition of your clients logo! You'll just need to make a specific lens to utilize the feature instead of the default camera.

    open ~/Library/Preferences/Snap/Lens\ Studio/ %LOCALAPPDATA%\Snap\Lens Studio Copy Text
  • Press ReturnEnter to run the command. The Lens Studio folder will automatically open
  • Prepare to upload your files: zip the "Log" Folder by right-clicking and choosing "compress."
    Locate the Log.txt file right above it.
