  • You can simulate an object freezing in place by having a second disabled object not on the head binding and using a script like the following:

    //@input SceneObject headObject
    //@input SceneObject headObjectWhenFaceLost

    var lastLocation;
    var lastRotation;
    var lastScale;

    var transform = script.headObject.getTransform();
    var transformWhenFaceLost = script.headObjectWhenFaceLost.getTransform();

    var updateEvent = script.createEvent("UpdateEvent");
    updateEvent.bind(function (eventData)
    {
    //record last known location, rotation and scale;
    lastLocation = transform.getWorldPosition();
    lastRotation = transform.getWorldRotation();
    lastScale = transform.getWorldScale();
    });

    var faceLostEvent = script.createEvent("FaceLostEvent");
    faceLostEvent.faceIndex = 0;
    faceLostEvent.bind(function (eventData)
    {
    //show the second object while face is lost
    script.headObjectWhenFaceLost.enabled = true;

    //set position, rotation, and scale of second object
    transformWhenFaceLost.setWorldPosition(lastLocation);
    transformWhenFaceLost.setWorldRotation(lastRotation);
    transformWhenFaceLost.setWorldScale(lastScale);
    });

    var faceFoundEvent = script.createEvent("FaceFoundEvent");
    faceFoundEvent.faceIndex = 0;
    faceFoundEvent.bind(function (eventData)
    {
    //hide the second object while face is found
    script.headObjectWhenFaceLost.enabled = false;
    });
