After watching my friends mess around with the filter in a voice chat via Snap Camera, I decided to try it out for myself. Unfortunately, I am only met with:
I've tried using different inputs, uninstalling and reinstalling, and changing the lighting. For reference, my friends had success with both a room light and no room light, only a lamp pointing at them.
