Can you use dynamic text in Snap Camera?

I have a filter that displays dynamic text (username, date, location etc) which works fine in the mobile Snapchat app but doesn't work fully in Snap Camera (on Windows 10).

It gets the local date and time OK, but the location seems to default to Santa Monica.

Since you're not actually logged in on Snap Camera it won't know the username, but is it possible to get the other information like location and weather? Or should I just hide these fields when viewing in Snap Camera?

    Your most likely gonna have to hide it see snapcamera is different from snapchat, when you first install snapchat it gives you the option to accept permissions like your location microphone etc. have you tried going into your computer settings and allowing permission from snapcamera

    Thanks, I might try uninstalling and reinstalling to see if I get asked about those permissions

    open ~/Library/Preferences/Snap/Lens\ Studio/ %LOCALAPPDATA%\Snap\Lens Studio Copy Text
  • Press ReturnEnter to run the command. The Lens Studio folder will automatically open
  • Prepare to upload your files: zip the "Log" Folder by right-clicking and choosing "compress."
    Locate the Log.txt file right above it.
