Superimpose Animated Facial Expressions on 2D Face Image
Hello. I have absolutely no knowledge of how Snapchat works. However, I manage a website and I ran across a gif or short movie on Facebook yesterday that someone told me was done with a Snapchat Lens. The link is https://www.facebook.com/Egypt.Culture/videos/243087566941856/
It looks as if someone took a picture of a face (this one being an ancient Egyptian) and then superimposed his or her facial expressions on the picture to make it come alive. I'm assuming this can be done with any image, such as photos of Abraham Lincoln, Amelia Earhart, Madonna, etc.
Here are my questions:
1. Is this done with a Snapchat Lens? If so, do you know which one to use or how I can find it?
2. If it isn't Snapchat, do you know how this was created?
you can do something similar to this by adding and using a Face mask in lens studio
Hi Jim,
This does look like it could have used an AR filter. However, we wouldn't be able to identify if it is one from our community or another! As jamie hayles pointed out, you can make your own AR Lenses to apply to faces in video using our Lens building application Lens Studio. See more info and download here.
Cheers,
Neha
