Wobbly Face Masks
Hi!
New User here. Great program! Love using it.
Question:
I just submitted my second lens ever. BUT, I'm just realizing, now that it's live, that the face mask is a bit more 'wobbly' that I'd like it to be regardless of the lighting in the room. It kind of peels upwards at the edges of the face when I move around (not even that much). Is this common for Face Masks (vs Face Meshes, which seem more sturdy in general) or do you think it could it be a resolution / loading prob? The lens is about 3mb so I'm thinking it cant really be that.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
If any help, my lens is live (for now) here:

Thanks in advance for any help!
Cheers,
Kevin
Hi Kevin!
That's an awesome Lens.
You're right, Face Mask is a fundamentally different tech than Face Mesh. The top of the Face Mask is not tracked as well as the rest of the face. You can use an Opacity mask on the material to fade out the edges depending on the effect you are trying to achieve.
You should also be able to recreate this Lens with Face Mesh. Take a look at the UV reference for the Face Mesh to help with this: https://lens-cms.sc-corp.net/guides/face/face-effects/face-mesh
Let me know if you need any clarification.
Thanks!
Jonathan
Much thanks for your comments Jonathan! Your info is appreciated. Since last week, I've been diving deeper into Lens Studio and totally get the differences now. I've been on the face mesh ever since. I still enjoy the face masks for certain types of ideas and even combing them both. I think I will actually leave this one as is (Very glad you dig it!)
Thanks again for the clarification.
Best!
Kevin
