  • It depends on the type of lens.

Some sponsored lenses may be targeted to specific geographic locations, and would only be shown to users within that target area.

If it's a native Snapchat lens from the regular carousel, those vary from user to user based on what type of lenses you use the most. (For instance, if you use a lot of lenses with animal ears, you are more likely to see more of those type of lenses in your carousel.) So they are not geographically specific, but rather the options are tailored to each individual user.

If it is a community lens that was created via Lens Studio, those are available to anyone, anywhere in the world, at any time. The easiest way to find and use a specific community lens is to track down a pic or video using it that is posted on Snapchat (not on Instagram) and swipe up or tap the lens icon in the bottom corner of the screen to unlock it. If you know the name of a community lens or the user that created it, you can also find it in search.

  • Hi ydob.on,

Rhonda is correct. Do you know the name or Snapcode of the Lens? You can search for both Community Lenses and Snapchat Lenses by name. As far as tracking it down, since the IG users you're seeing are using a Snapchat-specific filter, you can track down their Snapchat username and profile to swipe up and unlock as Rhonda mentioned. Please note, Community Lenses are unlocked for only 48 hours and then will need to be unlocked again to stay in the carousel.

If you want to expedite the process for any particular Lens, please post it here and I can try to locate it!

    Cheers,

    Neha
