Snap username for dynamic text in preview video
I submitted a lens today which pulls in the user's display name using dynamic text. My lens was accepted, but the preview was rejected because it contains the word "Snap" in it. The text that is displayed for the display name shows up as "Snap User" in Lens Studio.
Either "Snap User" should be permitted in the previews of lenses that use dynamic text, or that text should display the lens creator's display name to avoid using the word "Snap". The default behavior of Lens Studio should not be cause for a preview to be rejected.
It is easy enough to create and add my own preview, but I was running into issues of Lens Studio not being to read the file (even though the file is fine) and crashing. I tried filing a bug report but your Captcha system is down so I can't submit it as a bug yet.
Hi Michael,
Great point re: rejected previews. I'm going to go ahead and relay this to our team and add it to our Feature Requests.
As for the Captcha bug, we pushed for a fix today and it should be good to go. Can you try submitting a bug report form again?
If you continue to encounter issues, please let us know and we can look into more details in a private thread.
Best,
Neha
Hi Neha,
Thanks for the quick response! I've gone ahead and filed that other bug report.
Thanks,
Mike
