Change LUT with tap

  • Hey Bakmrtin,

    Here's a simple script you can use to cycle through post effect textures.

    // @input Component.PostEffectVisual postEffect
    // @input Asset.Texture[] textures

    // Make sure post effect is set
    if (!script.postEffect) {
    print ("You must assign a PostEffect!");
    return;
    }

    // Make sure textures are set
    if (script.textures.length == 0) {
    print("You must assign textures!");
    return;
    }

    // Index of the texture we are currently using
    var currentIndex = 0;

    // Function that applies the current texture to the PostEffect component
    function applyCurrentTexture() {
    script.postEffect.mainPass.baseTex = script.textures[currentIndex];
    }

    // Function that cycles to the next texture and then applies it
    function nextTexture() {
    currentIndex = (currentIndex + 1) % script.textures.length;
    applyCurrentTexture();
    }

    // Hook up the tap event to our function to cycle to next texture
    script.createEvent("TapEvent").bind(nextTexture);

    // Apply the first texture
    applyCurrentTexture();

    All you need to do is create a Post Effect component (in Objects panel, Add New > Post Effect), then add this script to any object. On the script set Post Effect to your Post Effect Component, and then fill the Textures list with all the LUTs you want to cycle through. Let me know if you need more help!
