Audio not playing on recording

  • Hi Ashley,

    Are you playing the audio immediately when recording starts? There's currently a bug on the iOS app where playing audio at the approximate same time as recording starts results in the audio not being played. If you're playing audio through script you can delay that by a few frames to work around this, using DelayedCallbackEvent for example.

    var delayedEvent = script.createEvent("DelayedCallbackEvent");
    delayedEvent.bind(function() {
    script.audio.play(1);
    });

    delayedEvent.reset(.25);

    Hope this helps! Let me know if you're still having issues.

  • Hey,

    It's not immediately playing.

    I'm also on android (Oneplus 5T - android 9)

    I tried the soundboard template and that seems to work fine.

    Thanks

  • Hey Ashley, that sounds really strange, can you give a code snippet or details about how you're playing the audio?

    Also, can you check if you have headphones or any other audio devices connected? Audio from the Lens gets recorded through the microphone, so the mic needs to be able to pick up the sound for it to be recorded.
