my lens isn't on snap camera

  • Hi Suhaib,

Other community members have been wondering where their Lenses are on Snap Camera too. As I mentioned in that thread, currently, in order for a Lens to appear on Snap Camera, you need it to be a couple of things: live, popular, and adhering to the Lens Studio Submission Guidelines.  In general, to add a Lens, I recommend you boost it's popularity by posting it on the forum or other social sites as recommended in this guide.

For your specific case, it looks like your Lenses need to be shared more to be seen. That said, we are looking to fix this issue so that you can see your Lenses within Snap Camera in the future without the popularity factor - thanks for your feedback.

    Cheers,
    Kaitlyn

  • Is there a way to scan my lenses snap code in Snap Camera?  I don't necessarily need it to appear in the search, but I'd like to use my Lens Studio lenses in Snap Camera.

  • Hey Chad,

It's currently not possible to scan the Lenses within Snap Camera. How were you planning on using your Lenses though?

    Cheers,

  • I want to use a lens on my computer’s webcam. I made the lens in Lens Studio, but the lens won’t appear in Snap Camera for PC unless it’s popular and I can’t scan to add the lens.

If I understand correctly, there’s no current path to using custom lenses for Snap Camera. Are there any plans to enable this? Even if I could log in and use my own lenses it would be great. My lens will never get popular, so I don’t expect to see it there on its own.

  • Hi All,

Good News! You can now unlock a Lens by its Lens Link in the latest version of Snap Camera. This means, you can find your Lens by pasting the Lens link into the search bar in Snap Camera as soon as the Lens is live.

    Download it here!

    Happy creating!
