Hey Kenneth,
Thanks for sharing your Lens with us! Have you considered adding blue and red particles to push the pride even further?
Cheers,
Kaitlyn
Hi,
You must be the PR person for Lens as I see you've responded to most of the posts.
Thanks for sug but I wanted to keep this first lens as simple as possible. I'm hoping to create some other lenses soon to play around with Lens Studio's other features, in particular...particles :)
I come from a VFX background where I did a lot of particle sims over the years. In fact I met Travis at Bad Robot where I was working last in LA before moving up to SF.
I'm wondering if you can clarify a couple of things. What exactly does the number of "Views" mean in the stats page in Lens Studio as opposed to being scanned?
Also, how are lens creators able to monetize their lenses? Does Snap have a program/plan of any sort for this?
Thx!
Ken
Hi Kenneth,
I'm not exactly the "PR" person, but I'm definitely active in supporting Lens Studio creators. Really cool you know Travis, he's incredible and very supportive/ active in the forums as well.
In another forum post we cover what a view is, so feel free to peruse that here. And a scan is calculated as someone using the Snapchat camera to initiate the Lens.
As for monetizing, advertisers have shown interest in paying Lens Creators for brand engaging experiences. Once a Lens is made, there are three ways to promote them:
