Face Mesh to Map Face Texture
Hey!
I'm trying to map the face texture on to a a 3D mesh of a face rather than a sprite as is shown in the docs. If I just download a 3D model of a face and make a new material(diffuse) and set it's texture to face texture, the mapping is off a lot. Can someone give me some guidance on what material and settings to use to get the closest accurate mapping possible? Thanks :)

Hi Shree, you likely need to UV map the 3D model of the face to work nicely with the Face Texture. The Face Texture places the face as an oval shape in the center of a square texture. Your UV map of your 3D model should similarly map your UVs to an oval shape in the center of a square texture.
You can easily preview what a Face Texture looks like by creating a new Billboard, creating a new Face Texture and then assigning the Billboard's texture to your newly created Face Texture. This should give you an idea for what your 3D model's UVs should look like.
