Geofence Lens Studio created Lens

  • It is not possible currently (for public version), Kaitlyn talks about it more here: https://lensstudio.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360000608223/comments/360000115886

  • Hi Apoc,

Thanks for your comment, I had read that response from Kaitlyn before posting. As that was 3 months ago I was hoping maybe something had changed.

And apparently it has changed because it is possible; just yesterday I had a sponsored Lens for the Deadpool 2 pop up in my snapchat lens's. This was a proper Lens created in Lens Studio, not a simple 'filter' or 'lens' from snapchat/create.
So the capability is there, I guess it's just not available to the public yet?

The agency I work for would love to get in on this 'trial/beta' if anyone on the snapchat team is listening?

  • Ah, it probably is possible in the partner version then.

You should have your agency check these links:

    https://forbusiness.snapchat.com

    https://developers.snapchat.com/ads/

https://forbusiness.snapchat.com/partners/ (there is an apply button near the bottom, I'm not sure if this is how to get lens studio partner but it seems like it. )

Hopefully someone who works for Snapchat replies here soon tho for more accurate info

  • Thanks for those links Apoc, I've just signed up to pretty much every snapchat ad/partner/api access I could find haha.
I will try emailing the dev team too to see if I can get a response.

    Thanks again for your help.

  • Hi outsketching,

Apoc is correct, currently a geolocation ad buy for Lenses created in Lens Studio is still not available.

You can either print physical Snapcodes which could help the experience feel unique to the location or, I can connect you with a Sales representative for specific ad buy options.

    Cheers,
    Kaitlyn

  • Hi Kaitlyn,

Thanks for your quick response. We have a back-up plan to print physical Snapcodes, so that's an option.
If you could connect me with a sales rep to discuss other options., that would great.

    Thanks,
    Robert

  • Since this is a thread with over 1 year old, has there been any updates regarding Geofencing Lenses?
