Tap Animation Distortion
I'm working with the interactive tap template, importing models and animation in layers from Maya. I have my idle animation working perfectly, but when I add the Tap Anim script, I can get it to react to the tap and play my animation, however the object is randomly scaled up and distorted for no reason, then goes back to my perfect idle animation. It doesn't do this in maya, and so I'm not sure what is going on here.

Happy to help you figure out your animation troubles. Based on what you're describing, it sounds likely that there was an problem with preparing and exporting animation layers from Maya, since the Idle animation seems like it's okay. I have a few questions that can help us pinpoint what's going on:
1) When you say added the Tap Anim script, are you manually adding the script to a SceneObject, or are you working with the one that's included in the template?
2) Have you made any modifications to the Tap Anim script?
3) Did you bake out your animation Layers in Maya? If you solo the animation layers in Maya, does everything look correct?
4) Are you passing in the correct layer names in Maya?
5) After your animated object was imported, is it possible that any of its child Scene objects were transformed? Any scaling of joints in Lens Studio could cause scaling issues in the animation.
6) Is your animated object parented to anything with a strange scale?
