Snapchat Guidelines : Smashing a Zombie
-
Hey Kevin,
Thanks for reading the guidelines and realizing that the ask from your customer might get rejected. Our user base includes teenagers (as young as 13), nonagenarians, and everyone in between. Lens creators are responsible for ensuring that their Lenses are suitable for Snapchatters ages 13+. As such, we prohibit weapons and content that may incite or glorify violence to make our platform safe and enjoyable for everyone. Thanks for your understanding and concern!
While I can't provide any guarantees about approval, realistic, non-cartoony depictions of weapons are more likely to be taken down than cartoony, less-realistic ones. If you have the model already made and it's not big deal to drop into a Lens then you might as well try and submit it.
Cheers,

Hey Kaitlyn,
Following your advices, I suggested the client not to work on a weapon but on a jump scare using a zombie model.
But I still have some concern, do you think that using that kind of model which is very scary with the blood but without the axe, we could face some trouble of guidelines?
The project need to be done for monday and I prefer to think forward in order to avoid running late.
Please let me know.
Thank you

Hey Kevin,
Since I am not on the review team, but rather the Lens studio support team, I cannot say whether a Lens will pass review or not. That being said, I would submit a test Lens with this model to see if it passes - then you could feel a little bit better about submitting this Lens around the Monday deadline.
Let me know how it goes!
Kaitlyn
