Branded Lens - Agency creating a brand's lens

  • Hey Megan,

Thank you for your enthusiasm around creating Lenses! As long as you hit the technical requirements, own the rights to use the content, and follow our community guidelines outlined in this guide, you can create Lenses and distribute the Snapcodes how you wish for free.

Through Lens Studio, Lenses can be distributed by the creator using a unique Snapcode or Lens link. Once the Snapcode is scanned the Lens remains in one's rear carousel for 24 hours alongside the other Snapchat Lenses for people to enjoy. This Snapcode lasts for one year and people can re-scan the Snapcode as much as they would like to enjoy the Lens again and again. You can learn more about how to distribute Lens Studio Lenses in this guide.

Lenses made through Lens Studio do not cost money to upload, but they also cannot be geo-targeted at this time. If you were thinking of running a business campaign with your Lens in a certain area or hoping to get a more permanent Lens in the carousel, please note that we currently require all sponsored Lens campaigns to be run with the assistance of the brand's Snap rep.

If you'd like to learn more about that process I'd be happy to point you in the right direction.
