Lens Studio crashes everytime i save a project

  • Hi Emilien and Patrick,

    Does your computer username or a path to your installed Studio contain non-english characters? Our system currently doesn't support non-english characters on Windows machines so this seems to be a reason for numerous "not-launching" cases.

    If your path is all English characters I'd be happy to follow up with you individually to solve what might be causing the crashes.

  • Hey Kaitlyn Yea I have no non-english chars,

    After re-implmenting my code i think its my implementation of JS it crashes the IDE.

    Thanks for reports! This situation also can be if folder where you try to save a project has restricted access or have non-latin characters.

    We've created a support tickets for your cases, you'll get notifications. If everything is OK with your folder and you still experience crashes - please attach Log.txt file to support tickets we've created. To locate this file please find “Type here to search” input field near Start Button, type a string below then click Enter.

  • Copy and paste this text into your TerminalCommand Window
    open ~/Library/Preferences/Snap/Lens\ Studio/ %LOCALAPPDATA%\Snap\Lens Studio Copy Text
  • Press ReturnEnter to run the command. The Lens Studio folder will automatically open
  • Prepare to upload your files: zip the "Log" Folder by right-clicking and choosing "compress."
    Locate the Log.txt file right above it.
