Hey Quint,
Did you follow the Blender 3D Object Export guide by chance before attempting to import?
Best,
Kaitlyn
Hey @...
There are two "gotchas" not mentioned in the Blender 3D Object Export guide that are easy to miss. I was caught by these and have been trying to figure them out.. but finally got it working. :-)
1. Make sure your exported object from Blender is using a PBR (Principled BSDF) shader. The FBX format will only export PBR shaders.
2. When you export from Blender, make sure "Copy" is selected in the Path Mode dropdown, and that you have enabled the Embed Textures toggle next to the Path Mode drop down. Textures will not export at all without this being enabled - and it's very easy to miss!
@... perhaps you should consider including this extra info in the Blender export guide?
xx
Jo
Great Point Jo! We'll look to update the Blender Export Guide as soon as we can - thanks for the heads up!
