Unfortunately, it's likely due to the operating system or hardware you're using – since they don't meet the system requirements for Lens Studio.

Face lenses are not currently available on Lens Studio. Hopefully soon though!

Good to see you on here! How do we make selfie AR SnapChat lenses? I think this is great but it would be fun to be able to put stuff on people's faces.

The Face Lenses is coming soon, I supposed, Snapchat developers are still working on it. It should probably work for iPhone X and previous iPhone. iPhone X can give more accurate face tracking and face shapes to match users.
I am actually super curious on what Snapchat has in store for iPhone X user Face AR. I have a feeling that Apple and Snapchat do not want to showoff the iPhone X too much yet, because iPhone 8 and 8 plus are still supposedly selling from last year. And there are only a handful of iPhone X users at this point. Some non iPhone X users might be turned off if the AR only works for the X.
Maybe later in 2018, at Apple WWDC, perhaps iPhone X Plus will appear also and then they can show off the Face AR and more.
Ideally, I want Snapchat to provide Face Lens API that uses iPhone X Blendshapes Coefficient, letting the attribute and properties open. So when we provide 3D mesh with Shapes we can control it using iPhone X user face. This will happen eventually.
There is the face mesh now, but I too would like to have the blend shape data
