New Lens Studio Forum

Hey There,

We are moving our current Lens Studio Forum into a new forum for all Snap developers to convene together across all Snap Developer products. As such, by the end of day (PT) June 7th, 2022 we will stop the ability to add new comments and posts to this forum in favor of the new one. 

Since we imagine you are getting started right now, we also would like to share our Getting Started Lens Studio Docs Guide in the meantime.

If you would like to ask or answer “Getting Started” questions, we encourage you to start or move it over into the new forum here.

You can log into the forums by using the Sign-In button found at community.snap.com/snapar/. You will need to log in with your snapchat credentials. 

You will be prompted to set up a forum account the first time you log in. 

  • The email is used for notifications and does not need to match the email attached to your Snapchat account. 
  • The page will automatically pull in your current display name as a username but you can change it to a custom name. Note: You will not be able to change your username after account setup

Follow the next steps to help us solve your issue:

  • Copy and paste this text into your TerminalCommand Window
    open ~/Library/Preferences/Snap/Lens\ Studio/ %LOCALAPPDATA%\Snap\Lens Studio Copy Text
  • Press ReturnEnter to run the command. The Lens Studio folder will automatically open
  • Prepare to upload your files: zip the "Log" Folder by right-clicking and choosing "compress."
    Locate the Log.txt file right above it.

Unfortunately, it's likely due to the operating system or hardware you're using – since they don't meet the system requirements for Lens Studio.

Still, we hear you loud and clear, and are logging the issue in case there's ever a workaround we can provide!

Minimum Requirements

Operating System: Windows 10 (64 bit); MacOS 10.11+

Hardware: Minimum of Intel Core i3 2.5Ghz or AMD Phenom II 2.6Ghz with 4 GB RAM; Intel HD Graphics 4000 / Nvidia GeForce 710 / AMD Radeon HD 6450 or better; screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher
