3D Parkour (Tech Demo) | a Lens made by me
Hey!
I've had the Idea for the Lens that I am about to show you for a few months now (August 2021). But there was always one thing that prevented me from following through with that idea and turning it into an actual Lens. My goal was to create 3D games similar to how games are made in other (3D) engines. However, I had no way to implement "Hitboxes" that prevented the player from phasing through walls or objects. But with the new Lens Studio update, the new physics function gave me everything I needed. I managed to create said hitboxes and started working on a little Tech Demo to show you all that's possible now in terms of Lens creation and development.
I haven't seen something like this as a Lens before, but enough of the talking.
Here's a preview of my 3D parkour Lens!
*Please note that this is just a tech demo, it was made to show what's possible. The design/prettiness of the level wasn't the priority in this Lens*
The Lens features scripted mechanics, physics puzzles, a live "pre-game lobby camera", and much more.
I feel like this could open up an entirely new genre of Lenses. 3D games as Lenses are a niche that hasn't been explored yet.
