Rectangular Marker - like Ruler

Hi Community!

Is there a chance for a rectangular marker? Like a ruler?The idea is the following:

Cutting patterns out of cloth/wood etc. ... projecting organic cutting patterns on a table with a ruler marker attached to it... for example 10x300cm long... Markerdetection should start by 10% visibility of the marker or hold orientation until 10% visibility... An other option would be several markers for orientation... if you loose one catch the other... The limitation for all this is the armlength ;-) handling the pen for copying the pattern...

I'd be happy to get some feedback and prospects...

    Hi Henning,

    Using the ground plane tracking feature this is very much possible. Cyrene has a drawing tutorial lens that uses a similar idea. I think the main difficulty will be matching the real-world scale. Most phones can't measure depth so it is a little tricky for the software to distinguish between a person standing next to a table and a person looking at the ground from an airplane. Snapchat can track the flat surface in both cases, but the scaling is relative to Snapchat, not to the real-world.
