Hey!

I haven't been active in the forums for over a month now. During that time I've been on vacation and I haven't had the opportunity to create new Lenses. But I am glad to be back now!

During those four weeks, I have decided to work on something new that I have not seen before on here. 

I am happy to present to you my first "Lens Preview Pack"!

In this pack, you will find 18 pictures and 10 videos that can be used to test out the Lenses you're working on, or use those files as your Lens Previews for your finished/released Lenses!

Here are some sample pictures that are included in the pack.

How/Where can I download the .zip file?

to upload my files I use a Service called MediaFire.

Simply click here or the download button at the bottom of this post, and you will be redirected to a website looking like this:

(please note that the download will lead you to a 3rd party website that is not affiliated with Snap Inc.)

Please only use the blue/green download button that I marked on the image above. Every other download button will be an advertisement that will NOT get you my Lens Preview Pack.

After that, you can simply unpack the File using 7Zip or WinRar and add the files to Lens Studio.

How do I use the pack?

After downloading the .zip file you will have to unpack it. Use 7zip or WinRar for that. Then you will see the extracted folder named "Summer Lens Preview Pack".

Then you go ahead and open a random Lens Studio Project of yours (can be an empty/new one.)

then you press this little arrow in your preview window:

You press on "From Files"

And then choose the images/videos folder from the folder named "Summer Lens Preview Pack".

Then you can simply select all of the preview images/videos and press "Open".

Now you will be able to select and use the images/videos under your Lens preview sources.

Follow the next steps to help us solve your issue:

  • Copy and paste this text into your TerminalCommand Window
    open ~/Library/Preferences/Snap/Lens\ Studio/ %LOCALAPPDATA%\Snap\Lens Studio Copy Text
  • Press ReturnEnter to run the command. The Lens Studio folder will automatically open
  • Prepare to upload your files: zip the "Log" Folder by right-clicking and choosing "compress."
    Locate the Log.txt file right above it.

Unfortunately, it's likely due to the operating system or hardware you're using – since they don't meet the system requirements for Lens Studio.

Minimum Requirements

Operating System: Windows 10 (64 bit); MacOS 10.11+

Hardware: Minimum of Intel Core i3 2.5Ghz or AMD Phenom II 2.6Ghz with 4 GB RAM; Intel HD Graphics 4000 / Nvidia GeForce 710 / AMD Radeon HD 6450 or better; screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher
