how to change texture with tap screen

  • If you have just two textures you want to switch between, you can have the behavior script 'Toggle' the enabled state of each (so you'll need two behavior scripts, one for each texture) rather than setting them to enabled or disabled.

If you have more than two textures, you'll need to get into some scripting. I have a tutorial on how to change the background texture when the screen is tapped that might be helpful. It would be a similar process for changing the glasses texture depending on how you have your scene setup.

  • If you are using some sort of UI with buttons, you have a couple options.

    1. Use the Behavior Script to disable the UI when recording starts. This works for both stills and video, but the buttons won't be visible while recording.

    2. Use separate cameras/layers/render targets to have separate live and capture targets. You can setup a separate render target with your UI and use that for the Live Target. It's for a separate type of lens, but I have a tutorial that uses separate Render Targets for the lens and the UI. I go into more detail in the video, but the gist is to have a separate camera for the UI, send that output to a different render target, and then depending on what is in your lens you may need to put all that on a separate layer.
