SnapCamera in Instachat

Hi All (or just SirQuentin I dunno...!),

 

Realise Instagram and Facebook are competitors so there's no reason for such a functionality to exist, BUT...

 

How to activate SnapCamera in live Instachat or Facebook video stream/messenger etc?

An organization within my university is interviewing me via Instachat (RMIT Creative Dec 15） and I will be talking a bit about my MA Fashion Design collection made entirely as Snap lenses. Ideally I would like for the interviewer and me to scroll through my outfits and try them on throughout the meeting, and people viewing can see the lenses in action.

As a fallback I will just ask them to record in Zoom/Microsoft Teams and playback on Instagram somehow, but is there a way to activate Snapcamera in a live Instagram video interview.......??

    I dont know about InstaLive , but in facebook streams it should be possible to connect it with OBS / or xSplit etc.

    Then it should work if you link SnapCamera to OBS. You can find a tutorial from Snapchat by clicking here.

    But unfortunetly i couldnt find a way to use SnapCamera on Instagram Live :/

    Okay that's great, I will definitely give it a test! (I meant Snapchat and Insta as competitors back there)

  • Copy and paste this text into your TerminalCommand Window
    open ~/Library/Preferences/Snap/Lens\ Studio/ %LOCALAPPDATA%\Snap\Lens Studio Copy Text
  • Press ReturnEnter to run the command. The Lens Studio folder will automatically open
  • Prepare to upload your files: zip the "Log" Folder by right-clicking and choosing "compress."
    Locate the Log.txt file right above it.
