Did you ever figure this out?
Hi Blake. I kind of figured it out. I ended up coding object placement in Javascript from a point cloud created In Houdini. I made a post about it on my blog here. https://lukesdevblog.blogspot.com/2021/02/recreating-copy-to-points-using.html?m=1
I made a tutorial as part of the post that I never quite found time to finish but it could help point you in the right direction.

I didn’t end up using mesh builder to solve the problem I was working on though.

Hi!
If anyone is looking for a way to get 3D models into MeshBuilder, I made this setup that can do that for triangulated .obj files:
https://github.com/max-van-leeuwen/SnapLensStudio-OBJBuilder
(make sure there is an equal amount of points, normals, and UVs on the mesh, before converting it to MeshBuilder data)
