I think it would be helpful to be able to add a still photo to the previews Snapchat provides already.
This way creators would be able to use a good sample photo for the preview which already has the effect on it.
Since we would be unable to add a filter to a photo thats already been taken I think this would be effective and promote lenses when creators have better quality previews.

Unfortunately, it's likely due to the operating system or hardware you're using – since they don't meet the system requirements for Lens Studio.

Operating System: Windows 10 (64 bit); MacOS 10.11+
Hardware: Minimum of Intel Core i3 2.5Ghz or AMD Phenom II 2.6Ghz with 4 GB RAM; Intel HD Graphics 4000 / Nvidia GeForce 710 / AMD Radeon HD 6450 or better; screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher

You can! You can add your own videos or images to the preview panel. I think videos have to be 720x1280 pixels, and I don't remember if images have to be a certain resolution.
