Have a Landmarker Location Request?

  • Does this use GPS to track if the user is close to the building? I tried the Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas and it didn't work.

  • Cannot find a good video tutorial on how to create these. I have a 3d model ready to go but im having to figure it out all on my own.

  • Hey allChuckdup,

As stated in the Landmarker template's guide, the Lens requires users to be at the Landmarker's physical location to unlock the experience so you won't be able to unlock any experiences at this time unless you are next to the supported landmarks.

And at this time Dominique, it is not possible to create your own Landmarker location, but rather only use the current five locations. If you're interested in creating Lenses for a specific location though, please let us know here.

  • Do you have an ETA on when you all will open this up and allow users to create them without having to submit a request?

  • Hey Dominique,

We don't have a specific time set for when users will be able to create their own Landmarkers, but we highly encourage you to continue adding your most desired locations to this list.

  • Hello Kaitlyn Benitez-Strine,

"We don't have a specific time set for when users will be able to create their own Landmarkers, but we highly encourage you to continue adding your most desired locations to this list."

Is this still true to this day or can we add custom locations with our own 3d model?
Please do let me know. I am going to pitch to a client.

  • Hey Ibby Glimpse,

Custom Landmarkers are still not currently available in the public version of Lens Studio. It was announced at Lens Fest, but still not possible quite yet.
