Is it possible to take a photo through scripting?

  • It is not possible to do that, but you can copy the texture of the camera when they smile and then make that display on the screen. So the user could then press the button in snapchat to take a picture

  • I agree with Brandon, at this moment, not possible, but you can copy the texture of the camera.

    Using this :

    Found here : https://lensstudio.snapchat.com/api/classes/Texture/

    // Print the texture's height, width
    // Change the texture's name and print it out
    //@input Asset.Texture texture

    print("Width = " + script.texture.getWidth().toString());
    print("Height = " + script.texture.getHeight().toString());

    // Takes a screenshot of device camera input and applies it to meshVisual
    //@input Asset.Texture deviceCameraTexture
    //@input Component.MeshVisual meshVisual
    var textureCopy = script.deviceCameraTexture.copyFrame();
    script.meshVisual.mainPass.baseTex = textureCopy;
