error

  • Hey Litvinenkob16,

    Can you share the full error message, how the error occurred and if you've been able to reproduce it? Please include the script name and line number, a screenshot works fine. And if you're using a custom script, could you share that as well?

    Thanks,
    Kaitlyn

  • Hi Litvinenkob16,

    When you create a new SpriteVisual at runtime, it doesn't automatically have a material on it. What you can do is create a material ahead of time and add it to the SpriteVisual through code.

    You can add a new default Sprite material to your project using using Add New > Component Defaults > Sprite.

    // @input Asset.Material spriteMaterial
    // @input Asset.Texture texture

    var sprite = script.getSceneObject().createComponent("Component.SpriteVisual");

    sprite.addMaterial(script.spriteMaterial.clone());
    sprite.mainPass.baseTex = script.texture;

    In this example I'm also cloning the material, in case it needs to be used multiple times.

    Let me know if you have any questions!
