Face Inset Occluder
Hi,
I'm using a face inset for a face within a floating helmet.
The problem is that the inset can only go in front or behind the 3D helmet not inside like a plane.
This is causing the face to go through the model.
Any ideas? Is there a better approach for getting a face within the helmet?
Thanks,
Ashley

Sort of fixed this.
I ended up adding a smaller version of the helmet within the helmet as an occluder and put the inset behind the helmet in the render order.
Hey Ashley,
I'm glad that you fixed it but the best way to this is using Face Texture instead of Face Insert.
On FaceTexture you have an ability to change the settings on the material.
To create a Face Texture, in the Resources panel click on Add New -> Face Texture.
Then you need to create an unlit material and apply the Face Texture as the Base Texture in Unlit Material
Then you need to have a opacity texture for the face, you can use photoshop or any tool to draw the opacity texture.
And the last thing is to apply the material to 3d Plane shape and now you have a full control over the depth of your object.
Hope this help you.
Best,
Amir.
