animated material .. offset time

  • Refer to https://lensstudio.snapchat.com/api/classes/AnimatedTextureFileProvider/ 

    specifically the playFromFrame function 

     

    so in the end you'd have a loop through all the objects and set the start frame inside the loop via something like this: 

    var randomFrame = Math.floor(animatedTexture.getFramesCount() * Math.random());

    component.mainPass.baseTex.control;

    Where component is the current object you are looping through in the loop

  • Hi Robert! What Jye suggests is exactly the way to do it. You can duplicate the animated texture in Studio and assign each to your object. If you group all your objects under one parent, you can do a for-loop to change the start frame of each texture as follows: 

    for (var i = 0; i < script.getSceneObject().getChildrenCount(); i++){
    var animatedTextureControl = script.getSceneObject().getChild(i).getFirstComponent("Component.SpriteVisual").mainPass.baseTex.control;
    var randomFrame = Math.floor(animatedTextureControl.getFramesCount() * Math.random());
    animatedTextureControl.playFromFrame(randomFrame, -1);
    }

    open ~/Library/Preferences/Snap/Lens\ Studio/ %LOCALAPPDATA%\Snap\Lens Studio Copy Text
  • Press ReturnEnter to run the command. The Lens Studio folder will automatically open
  • Prepare to upload your files: zip the "Log" Folder by right-clicking and choosing "compress."
    Locate the Log.txt file right above it.
