I know shoppable AR was a feature that was recently piloted with some select brands.

I was wondering if developers will ever be able to insert something such as a button to trigger an event to leave the snapchat app and open a web-browsing app or allow a webpage pop-up within the snapchat app. 

Something like a "Donate Now" button would be really cool.


In addition: besides linking to a webpage, will there be any sort of call to action developers can implement? (e.g. getting email from user).

Can I be given any hints as to the timelines of these features if the exist?

I love the snapchat platform and truly believe that it can be used to drive my brand, especially with the features outlined above.

    Hey Andrew,

    Lens Studio unfortunately doesn't currently allow for a More Button linking out to websites, but if you or the brand posts the Lens to a story, you can always include a link connected to the Snap.

    To attach a web link to a Snap:

    1. Tap the paper clip button on the Preview screen
    2. Paste a URL copied to your clip board, type one in, or search for one 🔍
    3. Tap ‘Attach to Snap’ to add the current web page to your Snap

    Let me know if you have any questions about that, and I'll let the engineers know of your desire for such a button as well as other CTAs for users.

  • Press ReturnEnter to run the command. The Lens Studio folder will automatically open
  • Prepare to upload your files: zip the "Log" Folder by right-clicking and choosing "compress."
    Locate the Log.txt file right above it.
