But it doesn't really work. What is the best way to achieve it?

can you share the link to the jump care effect your referencing. so others can help as well.
also i would either destroy or disable after tap to keep your lense looking cleaner and a reset... so i don't have to keep closing the lense and going back in your will give you self false postivies in your numbers ;)
