Material
Hello:) I just made my first body filter https://www.snapchat.com/unlock/?type=SNAPCODE&uuid=ba0c777ba76e4d17aa8f83ff91508ad3&metadata=01. I managed to add the opacity map but it doesn´t have the same texture as the blender file... Is there a way I can improve the material? thank you!
Make sure the blend mode of your material is set to normal. You might also need to set it to two-sided. Screenshots of your material parameters and the result in Lens Studio will be super helpful, there's not much help we can offer if we can't see how your lens is setup.
Hi, thank you for the help! Here I made more Screenshots...
Thanks for the screenshots!
The first thing I recommend is to turn off baked shadows - you aren’t providing a texture for them. You can read more about them here: https://lensstudio.snapchat.com/api/ShaderProperties/
What is the original resolution of your opacity texture? It looks sharp in Blender, but kinda blurry in Lens Studio. Lens Studio only supports up to 2k resolution images, so if you imported a 4K texture it would have been scaled down. Depending on your UVs you might be able to tile the opacity texture instead to keep things nice and sharp.
The first thing to check would be to check how many layers they’re using. There is a “Visualize Layer Count” option in the OIT pulldown of the camera. If the parts turns red when that option is selected, it indicates there’s more layers than tech supports (8, currently) and correct results aren’t guaranteed. Ideally, they should using 8 layer mode or 4+1 mode.
